  • Description

    Work in a local health clinic, vaccinate children and take part in rural health outreach programs.

    Earn valuable hands on experience while working side by side with local doctors, immersed in a small community, performing meaningful development work, and exploring the cultural and natural beauty of Belize. The dual focus of development work and adventures enables tremendous growth experiences for all program participants.

    Programs are highly supported by an onsite staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the fields of study abroad and international development.

    Real projects...real experience! Work side by side with local health care providers and community members during your Health Care Internship. Watch the moon rise over the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, hike through the rainforest from your door, explore Mayan ruins, and see monkeys in the secluded jungle. These and other weekly adventures combine with cultural excursions and productive volunteer work to form a comprehensive and unique volunteer experience.

  • Cost Include Description:

    Program fees support our host community economies in the forms of project materials purchases, local salaries, host family payments, and local purchases. Program fees include: full room and board, domestic transportation, and funding of development projects and internships. The program fee also includes multiple trips to Mayan ruins, cultural activities, and snorkeling the barrier reef.
