  • Description

Spend two weeks exploring Peru, helping those in need, and expanding your understanding of the world. Team up with ProWorld to participate in a fully immersive service program. Experience this South American country by lending your skills to the local communities.

This program gives students a chance to work on community-guided health care projects, enrich their own lives through service learning, and experience Peruvian culture first-hand.

Earn valuable hands on experience while working side by side with local doctors, immersed in a small community, performing meaningful development work, and exploring the cultural and natural beauty of Peru. The dual focus of development work and adventures enables tremendous growth experiences for all program participants.

Programs are highly supported by an onsite staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the fields of study abroad and international development.

Teams of ProWorld Project Coordinators work year round with our host communities assessing needs, thinking creatively, and setting long-term goals for sustainable development and volunteer projects. Enroll now!

  • Highlights

Real Projects... Real Experience! Work side by side with local health care providers and community members during your Health Care Internship, stay with a local family, and learn Spanish!

Take the time to also watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu! Adventures combined with cultural excursions and productive volunteer work form a comprehensive and unique volunteer experience.

Participants with significant medical training may be placed in public and private hospitals, an elder care facility, adolescent rehabilitation services, and rural clinics.

Participants without healthcare experience will have meaningful volunteer placements in education and other settings. Final project placements are based on the site director's assessment and community need.

By joining ProWorld, you become agents of positive change in the lives of others and your own life!
