Description

Come experience traditional Peruvian culture in the center of the ancient Incan empire while working to control and manage major environmental issues brought on by modernization. Volunteer with ProWorld and have experience of a lifetime fulfilling the lives of others. ProWorld's cleaner burning stove project is successfully reducing carbon emissions, slowing the depletion of native plant species and preventing health issues related to pulmonary disease and vision impairment due to smoke inhalation. You will work with rural Andean communities to install these stoves in the homes of individual families, assist with education workshops, and contribute to reforestation efforts. On weekends and in your spare time, opportunities are available to visit ancient Incan ruins, hike to Andean lakes and glaciers, and participate in traditional Peruvian festivals in and around our base in the Sacred Valley.
