    NGO internships are developed based on your skills and the needs of the community, pairing you with the community development project that brings out the best of what you have to offer. ProWorld programs combine development projects with adventures, cultural immersion and language classes.

    Project options include: Health Care, Conservation, Education, Journalism, Micro-Business, Women's Rights, and more.

    Take the time to watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu, hike the Inca Trail, and explore rural villages, while improving the lives of people in rural communities. Join ProWorld for the adventure of a lifetime!

    Programs are highly supported by an onsite staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the fields of study abroad and international development.

    All participants must have an adventurous spirit. Development projects are determined by the specific interests of participants and the needs of the local community. Depending on the project type and country, you may need to have intermediate Spanish skills.

  • Program Fees Include:

    Program fees support our host communities in the forms of project materials purchases, local salaries, host family payments and local purchases. Program fees include: full room and board, domestic transportation, Spanish classes (Peru and Mexico), and funding of development projects. Based on your location the program fee also includes trips to Incan or Mayan ruins, cultural activities, or snorkeling the barrier reef.
