Welcome to the Prague Yoga Teacher Training and Certification Program!

Prague Yoga both seeks to train those contemplating careers in Yoga and to provide continuing education for existing Yoga instructors. All of our programs are registered with Yoga Alliance and meet with their strict educational standards and guidelines. Additionally, guest teachers from the US, Czech Repubic and Germany will compliment our comprehensive and systematic Inter-disciplinary program. Graduates are eligible to teach worldwide and may apply to Yoga Alliance to become 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teachers.

Our training is grounded in the belief that breath & bandha are the foundation of all Yoga poses and these principles ensure that students move safely and effortlessly in and out of the poses. We will study over forty poses in-depth including anatomy/physiology, contraindications, modifications and adjustments. In addition students will be exposed to specific Hatha (physical) Yogas which may include: Ashtanga Vinyasa, Back-Care, Iyengar, Mental Illness, Prenatal, Restorative, Svastha, Yoga Therapy, Vinyasa Flow & Yin. Ultimately, the underlying theory of the curriculum is centered around Raja Yoga - the Yoga of the 8 Limbs, of which we will specifically focus on the first five: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama and Pratyahara.

Our program is designed to enhance and expand students' individual knowledge of Yoga and its many facets, while providing them with the confidence and skills necessary to safely and effectively teach Yoga within their prospective country or community. Students need neither be a teacher nor an aspiring teacher to attend this training. The study of Yoga is the study of Self and students are encouraged to conceive, actualize and deepen their own unique and authentic expression of Yoga, regardless of whether they choose to teach or not. Where your Yoga journey leads is entirely up to you!
