Join us on 20 beautiful acres overlooking the East coast of The Big Island for a life changing experience. Participants create a working community as they camp, cook, eat, serve, learn & play together. This energetic program combines daily instruction in yoga and meditation, classes in life skills, sacred music, organic gardening & permaculture, vegetarian cooking, sustainable building, volleyball, adventure in the natural beauty of Hawaii, and hands-on learning through service projects. A superb staff as well as inspiring guest instructors provide a full & dynamic experience.
The Big Island is full of natural wonders, many of which are right in our back yard. Snorkeling, lava hikes, surfing, dolphins, kayaking, steam vents and hot ponds are just some of the adventures we will experience. The program ends with three nights and four days of camping at Ho'okena Beach Park on the West side of the Island. This is a part of our annual "Family Campout" where our extended Polestar Ohana (family) joins us for great food, volleyball, and fun in the sun.
Created especially for (high school and college age) young adults, this program aims to serve a younger crowd with a "by-design" dynamic and full schedule, lot's of hard work and plentiful opportunities for adventure.
USD 1,000
The cost of the program includes nine days of food, lodging, Hawaiian adventures, on-island transportation, and all classes (yoga, music, carpentry, organic farming, and many other "skills for living" classes).
