We offer two degrees: Master of Science in Acupuncture and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. Now in our 16th year, we are the only accredited Asian medical program in Phoenix, and the first in the state of Arizona to offer the highest level of training in acupuncture. Our unique and innovative program attracts students from all over who come to PIHMA for a quality education with an innovative schedule. Classes are held on alternating weekends, supplemented by some weeknight classes. Clinic shifts are flexible throughout the week and Saturdays, morning through evening, making it ideal for working adults or those who desire a weekend/evening schedule. Our dedicated faculty and staff create an environment that reflects our value statements: Live the Medicine, Act with Integrity, Grow Thoughtfully, Commit to Excellence, Serve Compassionately, Be Innovative and Practice Gratitude.

PIHMA provides its students with unique clinical experiences at our own community clinic where we help you build your practice as you heal others. In addition we have clinical shifts at the Southwest Center for HIV/Aids and other locations and events in the city. Our students perform well both in clinic and on the national certification exams with high pass rates. Our graduates go into private practice, hospitals and resorts.

Admission requirements include an associate's degree or higher (60 semester units/90 quarter credits), plus 3 credit hours in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Composition, and Psychology (these can be completed concurrently in the first year).
