Through your internship with VOCAL, a Nairobi-based arts organization, you will participate in an amazing and transformative creative process. You will be able to perform in the community, using dance as a tool for social progress and discussion, as you see firsthand the realities of life for many of Nairobis poorest. During this internship you will also attend dance performances in the city, lead workshops for after-school groups, and assist with the administrative aspect of this vibrant organization. You will be challenged and inspired as you witness firsthand the capacity of dance to give hope to marginalized communities.
