Location
Cambodia: Siem Reap
Program Duration
5-8 weeks, 9-12 weeks
We have offered a range of educational experiences from middle school groups who travel with our tour leaders on week-long rural homestays, learning directly about agricultural developments from community members in their villages to university trips focusing on social entrepreneurship research.
We love working with students! We can design educational tours around a given topic such as; sustainable development, "lessons learned" through PEPY, social entrepreneurship, Angkorian history, and many more, or as a broad overview of the country. We have collected hundreds of articles on these topics over the years and can assign pre-tour reading or facilitate sessions in the evenings where we research and debate contrasting development topics. There are a range of learning experiences available for your students and these trips can be designed for any size and any age (remember, PEPY trip participants have been from ages 6 to 89!). Come join us with your students, as the school trip leader joins for free!
* Explore the world-famous temples of Angkor with student's from one of PEPY's 11 supported schools on their first visit to the temples.
* Learn about sustainable development in Cambodia by visiting PEPY's programs as well as partner non-profit organizations.
* Choose educational components such as home stays, NGO visits, and team building activities.
* Leave the tourist trail behind and explore the unspoiled Cambodian backroads.

This Responsible Tourism Statement compiles the guidelines by which we aim to design our tours, and these are some of the goals we hope to achieve: Inspire people to be more responsible donors, travelers, and global citizens and (re)awaken them to their power to enact the changes they want to see in the world. Financially support PEPY Cambodia's educational and youth programs and the work of our partners as well as being financially sustainable as a tour operator. Focus on "learning service" rather than "service learning": offering participants the chance to learn about and learn from the communities they visit and connecting them to opportunities to extend their impact beyond the length of their journey. Provide travelers with authentic opportunities to experience more of Cambodia's culture while supporting local and responsible tourism initiatives. Serve as a model tour company, both in Cambodia and in the field of responsible tourism globally, and help improve the industry by sharing the lessons we learn.
