Spring, 2017, semester: Mid January - Mid June

Candidates must have completed high school with acceptable grades. College experience is preferred. Candidates must feel that they can survive on their own in a very different cultural setting. The interview is very important. Typical Volunteer

The typical volunteer has one of more years of college experience. The major area of study isn't too important as the volunteer teaches basic high school subjects at a level lower than what is taught in the US. The volunteer is adventuresome, anxious to experience new and different cultural environments, and truly interested in helping people who are less fortunate. Many volunteers are attracted to the tropical island climate and all that goes with it.
