  • Description

A residential academic program for high school students (grades 10-12) held at Oxford University, England. Living in the historic setting of an Oxford college, students choose between 30 different courses covering humanities, sciences, social sciences, journalism and creative arts.

  • Highlights

The goal of The Oxford Tradition is a simple one: to ensure that every student has the chance to experience the unique quality of Oxford so that he or she may be inspired to attain the highest levels of imagination and achievement, and to uphold the rich legacy that Oxford passes on to all who spend time there.

All of our courses, regardless of subject area, are designed to introduce students not only to new subjects and skills, but also to the teaching and traditions of Oxford University. As much as possible, academic subjects provide students with the opportunity to enjoy an Oxford-style seminar conducted by a teacher who has experienced the Oxford teaching system. Above all, our philosophy is to put students in small classes to study exciting and engaging courses conducted by lively and imaginative teachers.

Oxford has countless opportunities for intellectually curious and adventurous students. One can marvel at the architecture of the Bodleian Library and the Sheldonian Theatre, explore museums such as the Ashmolean Museum (Britains oldest public museum), and discover the hidden secrets of the university colleges.

Designed to complement students' class work, the activities, sports, and cultural enrichment program ensures that whenever students are not in the classroom they have a range of opportunities available. Whether a museum tour, a choral concert, or a tennis tournament, students have multiple options every day to satisfy their creative, intellectual, and athletic ambitions. Our Activities Directors transform Oxford into classrooms where students can engage with the history and tradition around them.
