Description
Your 7-day Surf & Service Adventure takes place on Costa Rica's Central Pacific Coast, where possible surf sites include Playa Tulin, Playa Punta Mala and Playa Hermosa (among others). Learn about surf dynamics and philosophy, coastal ecology and environmental conservation while camping under the stars. Our Lifeguard Certified instructors provide detailed, holistic instruction about how to read waves, tides and currents. Through both group and personal instruction, you will learn how to pop-up, catch waves and improve your board stance to ride more challenging breaks. Whether learning to surf for the first time or looking to improve existing skills, a surf course with Outward Bound Costa Rica will be the surf adventure of a lifetime.
When you are not in the the water surfing, your time will be spent doing service projects. You will work to improve the lives of Costa Rica's rural, indigenous people and to protect the unique and fragile ecosystems of this beautiful country.
This course also includes a day of whitewater rafting.
