Description

Small classes of students and leading academics from around the globe spend two to three interactive semesters in Oslo, pursuing courses specially developed by staff at the Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences. In the third and fourth semesters students will research and write a supervised thesis.

The program's comparative focus allows students to develop a tool set for analysis in professional fields and within many fields of research, to learn more about selected country of focus for one's own research as well as to gain more insight about one's home country.

Courses include Globalization and Health/Social Policy, International Health Policy, Social Work, Social Welfare and Human Rights; as well as more foundational topics such as Social Welfare Theory and Research Methods.
