High School Program provides the students many benefits of living and learning abroad, participants will live with a selected host family, share their customs, culture, improved language skills and self-confidence, building friendships and memories with people around the world.

It helps your child to grow as a person. They will not only learn a new language they will learn about themselves.

Basic requirements:

* Basic Spanish knowledge.
* Average grades equivalent to (C).
* Commitment to observe a good behaviour and performance during the program.

Highlights

Host Families: All our students are placed with suitable host families matching students and family interests to the best of our ability. All host families are screened through their application, personal home visit and interviewed by Ordex staff. Staying with a host family give our participants the experience of learning about Ecuadorian culture.
High Schools: Exchange students will be placed in public schools in the city where they live. Our participants are welcomed by local classmates who look forward to develop long lasting friendships. Students are expected to maintain satisfactory work at school and dedication to their subjects. They can participate in sports and extra curricular activities. School schedule goes from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Local Coordinators: The local coordinators are your advocates. They locate, screen and prepare Ecuadorian host families to host international high school students. Students will be assisted by a local coordinator since their arrival, during their transition to new lives and throughout the program.

Local coordinators are like host families, they are involved in international exchange programs because they like exchange students, want to meet them and learn from them. Aside from the host family, your local coordinator is your key to success in your program.

Activities and excursions: Students will have the opportunity to participate in several excursions during their stay in Ecuador. Some trips will be organized by local coordinators. Participants may travel with hosts as well. The purpose of these activities is that you learn and explore the Ecuadorian culture.

Insurance: All participants must be covered by illness and accident insurance for the duration of the program. Ordex will request the information about your insurance prior to your arrival.

Arrival Orientation Meeting: All participants are scheduled to attend an orientation meeting in Quito at their arrival, where will meet with participants from other countries. They will learn about Ecuadorian society, important guidelines, contact information and useful hints to be used during their stay.
