Open Planet Travel think volunteering should be about making a difference through friendship and cultural exchange. Not only will you be able to use your skills, motivation and imagination to teach and expand the experience of the children you are working with, but you will have some of the most memorable experiences of your life and develop on a personal level. We work with local staff, schools and businesses to ensure you have a unique trip living and working in a real Gambian community.

Age of Students: 3 - 13
Role: Teachers Assistant (English Language)
Class Sizes: 30 - 40.
Volunteers can take smaller groups or work alongside teachers, bringing additional art classes, drama, music and sport into the schools.
50 hours of online TEFL training provided free before departure
Full management team both in Europe and in The Gambia
Accommodation: With local host families. Alternative accommodation can be arranged at an additional cost.
Price: From £795 for 2 weeks plus £125 for each additional week
