OceansWatch is a registered charitable trust established in 2007 and led by Chris Bone, along with a group of environmentalists and sailors. Our organization partners with coastal communities in the Pacific Island, developing sustainable livelihood projects and conservation action plans. We aim to help them adapt to and mitigate the impact of climate change. We call out to volunteers, interns, professionals, organizations, and businesses to help realize our vision.
Our activities include hosting annual yacht expeditions; conducting ecosystem monitoring surveys; educating partner communities about Ecosystem Based Management and assisting with the setup of protected areas; and more. We strengthen our team through the skills and knowledge of qualified divers as well as graduates of Marine Biology, Environmental Science, and other related areas of study.
