Get creative in Nottingham and have the summer experience of a lifetime!
Summer Study Abroad is open to anyone who has completed at least one year of an undergraduate course (freshman year) who wants to come to Nottingham, learn something new and celebrate the English summertime.
This will be an unforgettable experience in the heart of England. Made famous by Robin Hood and his Merry Men, Nottingham is a historic city in the middle of England lying on the beautiful River Trent. With two of the UK's largest universities and a massive student population it is a vibrant, exciting city with a reputation for creativity, shopping and a great social scene. And with the London Olympics on the horizon this will be a great time to visit the UK.
A Record of Study including project titles, duration and grades will be available upon satisfactory completion of the course, along with definitions of those grades if required by your home institution.
During your three-week stay you will follow your favourite creative discipline. Choose from fashion design and accessories, architecture, contemporary art, design and furniture. You will explore everything that Nottingham has to offer the creative thinker, with daytime studio activities supported by a lecture programme about Nottingham's lively history and heritage. You will visit museums, galleries and other places of interest on and off the tourist trail, hear from local practitioners and historians and work on engaging projects that will add new work to your portfolio.
