Next Step Connections

Next Step really helped me settle into Shanghai and made living in a new country very easy. I learnt many skills that will be useful after I leave and hope to come back to shanghai soon.

NSC is a great stepping stone for those looking for a exciting internship after graduation or during their studies. It allows you to experience a different culture in a vibrant city. I would definitely recommend this program to others as it opens your eyes to a city that for me was a mystery before.

I really enjoyed my stay here and my internship was a great experience. I met some cool people but my stay was definitely too short.

The Next Step Connections Program is one that I would highly recommend to everybody. Jerome, Len, Francois and the rest of the Next Step Connections staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout the entire trip. Amazing cultural experience and at the same time has opened my eyes to the world of work and has confirmed that I have chosen the right career path, whilst highlighting the skills I need to gain or improve on, which I hope to do in my Masters degree.

One word is enough to define the service that Next Step Connections provide: Excellent! The team was very efficient to welcome all the interns and helped us to adapt to life in Shanghai. I had never been to China or even Asia before this summer, so I wanted to find an organisation that would help me with all legal and practical aspect of my project. Someone in my school told me about Next Step Connections and the service provided was exactly what I was looking for. In Shanghai I have not been disappointed; from the accommodation to the placement, everything was really great. I really enjoy the people I met and the places I visited. Now I just want to come back to China and Shanghai!

Shanghai is a city not to be missed. Do not hesitate to come to Shanghai through Next Step, which has been incredibly helpful and resourceful in various ways. Because of Next Step, I had a fantastic 2 month-experience that might have changed the course of my life from now on.

Next Step Connections made my trip to China a truly memorable experience. I came to China with no knowledge of Mandarin but was able to thoroughly enjoy my internship because Next Step took the time to make the transition a smooth one. Next Step eliminated many of the transitional hassles by providing airport pick-up, escorting us to work our first day, introducing us to trendy hangouts, and being available for any problems. Moreover, the accommodations provided were first class and located in the heart of Shanghai. I would strongly recommend Next Step Connections for anyone looking to broaden their horizons through an internship in Shanghai. Next Step allowed me to focus on learning the culture, meeting new people, and gaining a better sense of a very different part of the world and for that I'm truly thankful.

It has been an amazing experience. While learning, the internship has broadened my mind and has helped me to develop some professional skills. I did research about land use and the livestock market in developing countries such as Brazil, Ukraine and compare it with China. My work will be used in future financial analysis projects. At the same time, I have discovered a completely different culture and met very interesting people. Although I have only been two months in Shanghai, I feel I have friends there. I can not wait to go back.
