Our program is dedicated to the development of the inner artist and the creative process as a means of self growth and exploration. We believe the creative process can not be separated from the psyche of the human but is an intimate part of humanity. We celebrate this infinite human spirit and seek to incorporate its highest essence into the emerging technological renaissance.

In the culturally rich and inspirational environment of Florence, the Italian culture and the Renaissance we work with our students to allow each student to increase their palette of creative tools bringing depth and eclectic artistry into their creative work. Our goal is also to develop well rounded and well balanced individuals who will become the creative pioneers in the new emerging technologies and take full advantage of the enormous opportunities now being presented.

Highlights

Most film schools, art schools, acting schools etc. focus on technique, equipment and competition. They train people to enter highly competitive work environments which limit personal creativity and self expression with little emphasis on what is so noticeably lacking in the world today good story telling that emerges from within the depths of the artists soul.

Program Overview:

The Florence International Film School is a unique program that is built on the Renaissance model of learning-

Apprentice-Journeyman-Master.

In our apprentice school you will receive hands on experience and professional mentoring in the film production, acting and the multi media arts. The precious time you spend with our school will provide you with a wealth of knowledge and experience, an extensive portfolio and an opportunity for you to develop yourself creatively, emotionally and spiritually that will benefit you in your chosen career and, most importantly, in life.

WORKSHOP 107 - Professional Digital Video Production
WORKSHOP 108 - Professional Editing and Sound Track Scoring with
Final Cut Pro
WORKSHOP 109 - Film Marketing and Distribution

All student films will be shown at the Florence International Film Festival.

ALL WORKSHOPS ARE TAUGHT IN ENGLISH. All Workshops serve as a backbone to help students in the production of their film projects, to aid them in experimentation and in the deepening of their artistic capacity as well as improving their craft.

JOURNEYMAN-

This portion of the program allows students who have successfully completed the first portion of our program to be placed in intern positions with Professional Production Companies in Italy, London and Los Angelos.

MASTER-

This is the final segment of the program where students who successfully complete their intern placement will create a mission statement and a marketing plan with their chosen mentor. They will return to their country of origin or where they want to live. They will then become part of our global job network enabling them to be employed to cover international events and commercial projects. Alumni will also receive support to help them to develop new technology in their region of the globe becoming pioneers of local and global communication as well as deepening a new way of socialization that will bring the global community.

We are an innovative film and new media school for visionary artists. At the New Renaissance Florence International Film and New Media School, our emphasis is to create a highly personal and advanced learning environment that helps students effectively communicate their highest message through the art of creative storytelling which springs from their inner journey of self discovery and deep personal growth. In our programs students will learn about the depth that lies within them and to effectively communicate this by incorporating a multitude of new expressive mediums including digital film and graphics, performance art, interactive storytelling, and multi media events. Rather than focusing on our students breaking into an already saturated industry to follow the visions of a select few, we help our students break out to become pioneers of their own creative talents and help evolve our modern artistic and educational mediums. We ground students' creative talent with solid and creative marketing tools so they can reach and grow their own audiences and enter the limitless opportunities that are now availible for new media artists with vision. We not only help students develop effective marketing tools to get their message to the global community but we also support our students' exploration and development of new means of conveying stories to the emerging markets and give the opportunity to present their Film shorts at the Florence International Film Festival held in the heart of Florence inside the beautiful Odeon Theater and give them the opportunity to intern with Professional Production Companies.
