  • Highlights

Through our three engaging program components, you'll grow as a person, a leader and a Reform Jew. Take the time to explore your Jewish identity and find out what it means to be part of the Jewish people while making choices in a multicultural environment.

The Netzer Year program facilitates personal development, study of Jewish and Zionist ideals, and of progressive Judaism's principles and ideology, both in and the classroom and in the field.

In addition to the three central components, all Netzer Year participants will take part in group seminars, Shabbat celebrations, and extensive hiking and sightseeing through the land of Israel.

Netzer Year is a fun, challenging and stimulating way for recent high school graduates to spend a year in Israel as a member of an exciting and vibrant group. The program involves extensive travel throughout the country of Israel, intense leadership training, Hebrew and Jewish immersion studies, and hands-on volunteer work. Throughout the program, participants live, volunteer and learn alongside their Netzer peers from around the world. Through three central dynamic program experiences, participants develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become leaders at Jewish summer camps, on college campuses, and in home communities.

  • Netzer Year is a Reform / Progressive Judaism based organization. We do not require our participants to be of the same faith. Our volunteers will not be involved in religious proselytizing.
