  • Description

Working and travelling in a country is often considered the best way to gain firsthand experience of a culture and its people. Our Work and Study Program in Canada will give you options and exposure to experiences the average tourist will never touch. Nacel international offers you a program which allows you to do a paid, supervised, practical training experience in hospitality at one of our partner-resorts in British Columbia and Alberta as part of an educational language & hospitality program. The goal is to practise your acquired skills in a hospitality setting and to give you an insight into the Canadian hospitality industry.

Some positions are seasonal, like working at a Ski Resort, but most positions are available throughout the year.

You should have realistic expectations about your desired internship position: If you are currently studying or have completed studies of tourism, hospitality management, possibly gained work experience in this field, and have advanced English skills, then there will be a big variety of positions available for you. If you do not have any experience in hospitality yet, then you will most likely start in a lower position such as room attendant or housekeeping. However, great language skills, a good attitude and the willingness to learn are of great advantage should you wish to get promoted to a better position - even without having previous experience. Also, please remember that this is supposed to be a program that allows you to explore Canada and the Canadian lifestyle.

The internship placement will be arranged during the candidates' language studies in Vancouver. All internship placements will be arranged based on the candidate's English level, previous work experience in hospitality, and availability during the year.
