For an in-depth language and cultural immersion, spend your Fall Semester or full Academic year in Canada. Students live with a host family and attend the local high school, participating in the cultural life of the community. Living with a host family is the best way to learn firsthand about another culture. The language you've been learning will come alive as you make new friends, share their culture and discover new things about yourself and your world!
Nacel offers programs in both English and French Canada. Students can also choose to stay half the year in English Canada and half the year in French Canada (Québec).
French Canada: Quebec, a distinct province is often sought out for its differences. The French language is the most obvious distinction, the lifestyle is another. The student will find there a "bon vivant" temperament that is hard to find elsewhere. A compulsory French tutorial is organized before school starts.
English Canada: Western Canada's Prairie Provinces and Eastern Canada's Maritime Provinces offer very different and interesting cultural experiences. Each province has its own distinct landscapes and history waiting to be explored. Canada's warm and friendly hospitality will surround the student each and every day. A compulsory English tutorial is organized before school starts.
Mixed Program English/French
Nacel offers the unique experience to learn French and English during a full academic year in the same country: the student will be placed 5 months in French Canada and 5 months in English Canada.
Type of School: Public.
Location: The choice of the location cannot be guaranteed. It depends on schools and host family availability. We deal with public schools in the following provinces:
* English Canada: Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island
* French Canada: Quebec
Given the very limited capacity in Canadian schools, it is not possible to make specific location requests. If the location is a requirement for a student's participation then we cannot accept the student.
Age: 15 to 17 years old. Students should not turn 18 years of age while on the program.

Independently
No one learns the same way. No one has the same level. No one has the same goal. Nacel International proposes a large variety of stays abroad, which will help you to develop your personality. Their goal was to provide opportunities for students to extend language learning and knowledge of another culture through a well-organized and affordable summer program. These programs bring people together enhancing cultural and linguistic awareness and to promote international friendship and harmony.
