The structure and the content of the Social Work Study Programme allow gaining competences for the initiation, coordination and execution of projects and management of social work institutions. The taught subjects are integral, consecutively supplementing each other and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired during the first cycle of the studies. The programme combines scientific exploratory and practical empirical aspects of social work.
The aim of Social Work Study Programme is to train specialist qualified to carry out scientific research, to have administration and management skills to assist individuals or communities in representing their interests within state, non-governmental or private organizations. The acquired qualification grants employment opportunities in spheres of scientific research, social work and management of social work within a wide range of local and state institutions of social care and various non-governmental organizations.
On completion of Master Studies in Social Work the graduates may seek academic careers in national and foreign universities and scientific institutions.
The semester lasts 16 weeks and examination session takes 4 weeks. Assessment of student results will normally involve assigned course work as well as an oral or written examination.
