    The International Human Rights Protection programme is aimed for the preparation of law graduates who are interested in the fast developing international human rights standards and their implementation in national practice. Participants of this programme will be able to enhance their legal skills as well as benefit professionally and academically. Graduate students can continue research in doctoral studies. International Human Rights Protection Master's Programme meets the needs of both the Lithuanian and non-Lithuanian students as it examines international human rights standards which are relevant to all countries. It is also useful for national practicians as international human rights instruments firstly should be correctly applied by national courts and other institutions. This Master's programme is a good combination of all essential International Human Rights Protections aspects, examining main international instruments, institutions and focusing on human rights cases in practice.

    Persons who have acquired a Master of Laws degree can work as judges of county, district courts, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, practice in international law offices of governmental institutions, international organizations including those of European Union's, non-governmental institutions, also in private enterprises, institutions, organizations, legal offices, Bar.

    The semester lasts 16 weeks and examination session takes 4 weeks. Assessment of student results will normally involve assigned course work as well as an oral or written examination.
