Music Harvest is looking for volunteers to teach a number of musical instruments to the children of Nablus. Most students are aged 8-15 and the most common instruments taught are piano, guitar, drums and violin. Volunteers work in a number of under-resourced community centres across the city of Nablus.
At Music Harvest we believe that every volunteer has as much to learn as their students. Thus, each volunteer will receive Arabic language lessons as well as oud (oriental lute) and debka (traditional dance) lessons for the duration of their placement with us.
There are no prerequisite qualifications sought in order to be considered for a position on our programme. We are interested in hearing from energetic, independent and confident musicians. Musicians should have an advanced level of proficiency in their chosen instrument. Again, you do not need to be a professional musician or a student of music to qualify for a position on our programme.
There is no fee
Costs at Music Harvest are kept to an absolute minimum. We feel that each volunteer gives enough by volunteering in our programme without paying an additional fee on top as well. Rent will be covered by Music Harvest. However, all volunteers must cover their own cost of living.

Music Harvest is a non-profit charity created to provide music lessons to children in under-resourced communities of the Middle East. Our goal is to teach a generation of children how to play these instruments that they have unconsciously attained. We believe that if we can equip one generation of children with the necessary music skills, a seed will be sown amongst the local populace that will reap a harvest for every generation to come.
