Moravian College was founded on a revolutionary idea that learning should be eye opening, heart racing, game changing, and fun. When John Amos Comenius, a Moravian bishop, came up with the idea in the 1600s, he probably did not expect to have such a profound impact. Today, we still agree with Comenius' philosophy, believing our students can be a little revolutionary, with the ability to turn something seemingly small into something amazing, unimaginable, and bigger than themselves. The Liberal Arts education at Moravian College helps prepare each individual for a reflective life, fulfilling careers, and transformative leadership in a world of constant change. Moravian College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on High Education and approved for professional preparation by the American Chemical Society, the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the National Association of Schools of Music.
