  • Description

Looking for a unique destination to add to your Gap Year Experience? How about the stunning Maldives!?

Volunteer Maldives has various programs for volunteer work on the beautiful tiny Maldivian islands, allowing you to immerse yourself in a unique culture and integrate within small, tight knit communities.

We have positions available for Teaching Assistants, Pre-school workers, and sports coaches - no experience necessary, just an open mind, and enthusiasm to help both kids and adults of the Maldives. The island children need assistance with the English Language, and volunteers are able to assist in the classes of Primary aged children with all aspects of the language giving them encouragement and confidence.

During days off, there is plenty for you to experience in this Indian Ocean paradise! From exploring uninhabited islands, snorkeling in the bluest of lagoons, night fishing with the locals or simply passing the hours chatting with new found friends over coffee, volunteering in the Maldives is definitely a one-off experience that will stay with you forever!

Some of the local islands we work with also have tourist resorts close by, and Volunteer Maldives have arranged for our fantastic volunteers to be able to visit and use the facilities and services on these exotic islands for much reduced prices! Check our Facebook page to see what our volunteers get up to!

New programs are also available in Sri Lanka, just a stone's throw away from the Maldives and perfect for those of you traveling and wanting to experience as many countries as possible!
