Training Begins in January 2012; required Training and Teambuilding located in Michigan is in February!

MPT is an international organization that trains people from all walks of life (and increasingly, all areas of the world) in nonviolence and conflict intervention skills. Our Peace Teams work with communities to reduce violence and support human rights in areas of conflict worldwide. Our teams are trained to use various conflict intervention techniques (including protective accompaniment, observation, documentation, inter-positioning and more) to respond to requests for help from communities who wish to reduce violence. We also build awareness of nonviolence techniques and way of life, and awareness of the conflict or war zones we serve.

Qualifications: - No experience necessary - Willing to train in nonviolent communication and nonviolent action skills, teambuilding, conflict intervention. - A commitment to nonviolence and peace. - Willingness/commitment to raise awareness about the conflict and nonviolence upon return.
