Mente Argentina offers customized internship programs which allow international students and professionals to work in Buenos Aires in their field of interest or in an area related to their studies.

Based on the field and the type of position you are most interested in, our team will work with our extensive business network and search our internship database to find the position that best suits your expectations and needs.

The internship will provide you with valuable work experience and help prepare you for your future career. You will also have the unique opportunity to experience the local culture and business world of Buenos Aires, Argentina. This type of internship provides a student with a broader perspective on their field of interest as participants can expect to gain an understanding of business and operational practices on an international level.

The Mente Argentina Internship Program also includes an optional introductory course of 20 hours of Spanish immersion classes during your first week in Argentina (Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm). This is a great opportunity to prepare yourself with business specific vocabulary as well as learn common Argentine expressions and specific language that you will need to interact in an Argentine business environment.

* Our program fee covers all our services including customized internship placement, first class accommodations in the best areas of Buenos Aires, a wide range of cultural immersion activities, and personal advice and services and assistance throughout your stay.

* The number of placements for our internships is not limited and almost every field of study is available. Based on our years of experience in the field of intercultural programs, the Mente Argentina Team is continually seeking new internship opportunities for our participants.

* Mente Argentina Interns can often receive university credit for their internship in Argentina.

* The Mente Argentina Team is made up of experienced consultants who have the skills to identify concrete needs within companies and non-profit organizations seeking international interns.

* Interning in Argentina is a great way to learn Spanish, which will inevitably expand cultural competence and marketability as a candidate in the job market.

* Interning in another country provides the additional benefit of learning how to adapt to different work environments by working in often a multi-lingual, multi-cultural office.

* Mente Argentina's cultural activities like city tours, Tango classes, seminars, events, excursions and many more (included at no extra charge).

Mente Argentina offers you the opportunity to combine your Internship program with Spanish lessons. This way, you will be able to learn or improve your Spanish while enjoying a unique learning experience in Buenos Aires.

Lessons last four hours and are offered from Monday to Friday at the Mente Argentina Spanish School in small groups of up to eight students. These group classes will be combined with individual Spanish lessons so that you can work specifically on your weaknesses and your areas of interest.

The teachers at our Spanish School are highly qualified and have years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language. Our classes are very interactive, beneficial and above all enjoyable! The classes can be scheduled for the morning or the afternoon, so they will not conflict with your Internship program activities.

Often, students can receive academic credit for their internships, however the student must consult their home university and have approval to do so.

* MA Program Coordinators:
Mente Argentina Program Coordinators are available 24 hours a day to assist students with all aspects of their study abroad experience, even before you actually get here!

Please see the Mente Argentina website for a complete list of excursions. Ground transportation and entrance fees are included on all excursions. Lunch is also included on our 1 day long activities.

*Accommodations:
Mente Argentina is the only study abroad organization that provides secure and comfortable accommodations in the most exclusive neighborhoods of Buenos Aires: Palermo, Belgrano, Barrio Norte, Recoleta. Everything is included, even maid service once a week! (Shared Apartment Accommodation)

* Airport Pick Up and Drop Off:
Your program coordinator will be waiting for you at your accommodation to brief you about the program.

Qualifications

Like most internships, our internships emphasize on-the-job training rather than merely employment. Interns are usually college or university students, but they can also be high school students or post graduate adults seeking skills for a new career.

We cooperate with a range of different businesses, state, non-governmental and international organizations. As an intern you will gain insight into Argentine culture and business environments while gaining solid experience in the area you choose. In most placements you will work with Spanish speaking people, which will further enrich your Spanish knowledge and command of the language.
