Explore and learn the Argentinean cuisine, the techniques and flavors. Mente Argentina's course is designed for both the beginners and those who are at a more advanced level and wish to expand their knowledge and skills of our cuisine. No prior experience is required.

The goal of Mente Argentina's Cooking Program is to teach students typical South American & Argentinean dishes with modern preparation, and presentation techniques and sophisticated flavor combinations.

The regular cooking program lasts one month. In this program you will learn how to prepare South American dishes with attention to all of the details that make this cuisine unique. You will learn everything from the classics, to light dishes, to red meat, to cakes and desserts.

The intensive cooking program lasts two weeks. You will learn the basics of South American cuisine as it is divided into six engaging and interactive classes.

In both programs classes are given three times a week and generally start in the afternoon so students have time to go on tours, visit attractions in Buenos Aires, or keep practicing...

- Asado, Argentine barbecue
- Empanadas, traditional Argentine turnovers
- Roast beef a la criolla (garnished with red and green pepper, onion, garlic and oil)
- Milanesa a la napolitana (Breaded meat topped with melted cheese, ham, oregano and egg)

* Information about Mente Argentinas Cooking School:
Mente Argentina's Cooking School has been offering courses in Latin-American regional cuisine for more than 30 years. The professors have diverse and extensive experience teaching not only traditional but also gourmet cuisine. Students will have the opportunity to learn a range of exciting, new cuisine concepts.

The school will provide you with the freshest and highest quality ingredients as well as all the necessary tools and resources for the classes. At the end of each class you will be able to taste the dishes with a wine pairing.

Classes can be given both in Spanish and English, but are limited to a maximum of six students to maintain an environment in which students can benefit from individual attention.

Courses start every week, have a flexible schedule and adapt to participants' availability. This will allow you free time to travel, meet people, venture outside of the city and experience a new culture!

The Argentine cuisine differs from the rest of Latin America cuisine mainly because of its European origins. With Italian and Spanish cuisine as its guides, and the addition of native traditions, Argentine cuisine stands out mainly because of its barbecue, roast beef, empanadas, and world famous dulce de leche (caramel).

Do you want to learn or improve your Spanish?
Mente Argentina offers you the opportunity to combine your Cooking program with Spanish lessons. This way, you will be able to learn or improve your Spanish while enjoying a unique learning experience in Buenos Aires.

Lessons last four hours and are offered from Monday to Friday at the Mente Argentina Spanish School in small groups of up to eight students. These group classes will be combined with individual Spanish lessons so that you can work specifically on your weaknesses and your areas of interest.

The teachers at our Spanish School are highly qualified and have years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language. Our classes are very interactive, beneficial and above all enjoyable! The classes can be scheduled for the morning or the afternoon, so they will not conflict with your Cooking program activities.
