McDaniel College is located in central Maryland, on a hilltop ideally situated between the Chesapeake Bay and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Most campus windows provide panoramic views. Just 30 miles from Baltimore's Inner Harbor and 60 miles from Washington, D.C., students here enjoy the resources of major cities, yet reside on a campus where the scenery inspires visitors to state that McDaniel College is 'one of the loveliest campuses in the U.S. and convenient to everything on the East Coast.' On McDaniel's 160-acre campus, you'll discover winding walkways, shady trees, and traditional buildings-40 of them. We're a private liberal arts college of 1,600 undergraduates. They come from over 20 states-including Maryland-and more than 10 countries. We average 1 professor for every 13 students. We offer over 400 courses leading to bachelor of arts and master's degrees. Majors range from Art to Economics to Psychology to Biology.
