The programs are based on the principle of "Observe to Conserve" and are designed to collect information on dolphin and sea turtle abundance and distribution. Data collected by volunteers at sea have proven to be very useful in a number of surveys targeting coral reefs, marine mammals and turtles. Coral Reef monitoring program is involving recreational and professional divers in data collection as an opportunity to contribute to the conservation of the marine environment.
* Help with the marine research and monitoring activities for the projects under the guidance of the project coordinator
* Assist with the collection of data via beach walks, boat surveys, swims and scuba dives at the Egyptian Red Sea
* Help monitor turtle and dolphin numbers, behavior and ecology as well as taking underwater identification photographs
* Join research scuba dives to help monitor the condition of the coral reefs and indicator species of reef fish (Reef Check)
* At certain times of the year, it is also possible to help survey sea turtle nesting activity
* Assist with beach cleanups and other general environmental activities
* Help in uploading and analyzing field data and create awareness among the general public of the importance of the marine environment
* Help in Public Awareness campaigns at local schools and the Bedouin community
The programs are open to everybody with an interest in environment and marine life. Volunteers have the possibility to learn scuba diving.

The Marine Biology College MBC is located at the southern Egyptian Red Sea coast and combining public awareness with reef conservation and environmental protection projects. The main focus is to understand the complex eco system of coral reefs in order to maximise our conservation efforts. The College is a meeting point for divers, volunteers, scientists, students and tourists. Get involved in a number of marine and reef protection projects and to learn about the environment.
