Maya Zacpetén Jungle Lodge is located on the peninsula of Lake Sal Petén surrounded by a protected thick ancient forest, a “natural paradise” just a few miles from the archaeological sites of Tikal, Yaxhá, Ixlú and adjacent to the archaeological site of Zac Petén, strong hold of the Maya Ko’ woj who maintained their independence of the site until 1697 A.D.

Maya Zacpetén Jungle Lodge features six large beautiful bungalows with two double beds each, private baths and hot water, restaurant, swimming pool, all of which have an outstanding view of the lake.

Location

From Guatemala City…
Take all day or night Linea Dorada or ADN best buses to Flores and shuttle to Ixlú.

Fly one of the daily flights; TACA, T.A.G to Flores – the shuttle will bring you to the lodge.

From Flores… 28 Kms. to the town of Ixlú, then from the intersection of Tikal/Melchor de Mencos 1 Km.on the road to Melchor de Mencos, take a left to Lake Sal Petén where the hotel boat will be ready to transport you to the lodge at no cost. The lodge can also be accessed by a 4X4 road from El Remate approximately 4.5 km. through the jungle forest which will bring you to the door of the lodge.
