Marist-Mod'Spe Paris Fashion Program

Location

France: Paris

Description

Experience in-depth fashion study at the center of the French fashion industry! Marist College and Mod'Spe Paris have partnered to offer students a study abroad program that is highly-focused on international fashion. With all fashion coursework in English, the program offers students not (yet) fluent in the French language an opportunity to engage with leaders in the field. Semester, academic year, and summer internship options are all available.

In this unique program tailored to the specific needs of Fashion Merchandising students, participants engage with cutting-edge fashion curricula, including classroom work as well as experiential activities. Working alongside leading fashion industry professionals, students study fashion merchandising, product development, trend forecasting, French language and culture, and more. Coursework is designed to take full advantage of Paris as "the classroom" and examines the historical and contemporary context of fashion. Participants gain key insight into fashion merchandising through classroom as well as experiential activities and assignments, industry visits, and workshops. Program participants include students from fashion schools in the U.S. as well as internationally. All fashion coursework is in English, thus no prior French language ability is required. The program runs in both fall and spring semesters, and an optional summer Paris internship in fashion is available to qualified applicants. Student accommodation is provided by the program in the historic Montmartre district of Paris. This is a small, highly-focused program created for Fashion Merchandising Majors or Minors or other students who seek a fashion-intensive study program in Paris.
