Creativity, flexibility and an adventurous spirit will be the keys for the two teachers I will need next year to add to our teaching team. This will be an exciting year as Mariposa Azul American School grows from just one class in its first year, to 3 classes in its second. If you would truly enjoy growing a school from the ground-up, teaching a very small class in an environment that encourages creativity and innovation in your classroom, and living in a small town set on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, this may be the position for you. The Samana Peninsula, of the Dominican Republic was named by the New Yorker as one of the 50 places to visit in 2012 for its unspoiled beauty.

Qualifications

Experienced Teachers. (Certified preferred) Creative, innovative and flexible with a desire to be part of a very small new program and help in its planning and growth. The ideal candidate will have experience overseas and be interested in volunteering in some way with the service programs of the partner foundation as well.
