Teaching English (June 2012)

I had such an amazing and rewarding experience! Before my placement, I had no idea what to expect and was actually a little afraid that I'd be placed somewhere where I wouldn't be able to do much service work or make a real difference in the local community. How wrong was I! I ended up teaching two different English classes to some of the most incredible and inspiring students I've ever met. The kids and adults were so receptive and fun to work with. They even taught me some Darija, or Moroccan Arabic, in turn. I feel that my time and work there was meaningful and impactful, but I feel like I learned even more in return from all the wonderful people I met and experiences I had. I'll never forget this summer and I recommend Love Volunteers to anyone looking to do work abroad!

Working with Children Kenya and Tanzania (Sept, Oct, Nov 2012)

I had my first experience volunteering in 2012 when I spent 2 and a half months in Kenya and Tanzania through Love Volunteers and had an amazing time. Love Volunteers were extremely helpful and quick at organising everything. I had contact with the country coordinators before arriving so that I could ask any questions I had and find out what to expect. The country guides Love sends out before you leave are very detailed and helpful. I received emails from Love throughout my stay checking on how I was doing and I felt very supported. Through the projects I volunteered at in both Kenya and Tanzania I met some of the most amazing, hard working and friendly people I have ever met. The host families welcomed you to be a part of there families and I have made life long friends. Thanks Love Volunteers for the most amazing trip!!

Zambia Premed Placement (December 2011)

I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to travel to Zambia and work with Love volunteers. I spent 3 weeks working at a local clinic in Livingstone and couldnt have enjoyed it more. I found the experience genuinely fulfilling and educational at the same time. Love volunteers organised everything well and went to great efforts to ensure my comfort throughout the duration of my stay. The locals are all very friendly and the scenery nearby at the vic falls is spectacular. Couldnt recommend it more highly to anyone who is keen to see africa, gain invaluable life experience and medical understanding. Feel free to contact me about any questions
