I had always heard great things about LdM but I think you just have to experience first-hand how different it is from other schools. All of the advisors and professors seem genuinely interested in helping us individually and showing us what makes Italy amazing, and what it's like to live and work there. Grazie mille LdM!
I'm leaving tomorrow... I would really like to say that I enjoyed to study this year!! I will really miss you all!...this year has been a big step towards my dreams.
...Looking back at the time that I have had here in Florence, it could not have been better. Since I came here in September 2005, I have developed both as a person and as an interior designer... It has been a very nice experience to learn about the whole Italian culture and try to get into the lifestyle here. I have been very lucky with everything-the school, the professors, the friends that I have got which is also the reason that I just decided to stay for two more years and complete a Bachelor's degree in interior design and architecture.
...I was a little nervous about the school since I was a beginner, but also very excited that I was starting a new adventure. I think that the reason why 2 years of my life just flew by is because that they have been the best in my 28-year-old life.
Our group has safely returned back to Moscow & I have already got dozens of compliments about the program. All the students are very satisfied & happy with an entire course. I would like to mention that girls were of course very pleased with the special careful & loving attitude of LDM staff. It means a lot for us. Best compliments to tutors who shared their professional experience with our group & made it on a very high level.
It has been a great and valuable experience studying Fashion in Ldm. I have learnt a lot. The school could really help me find what I want to be. I always want to come back to Ldm.
Having attended LdM fashion school has been one of the most fun experiences. To be in such great company, to work with a friendly staff and to meet such talented individuals from all over the world and to be surrounded by their passion for art and fashion made my experience in Florence truly worthwhile. I have gained much appreciation for the individualism and diversity that has been greatly expressed through everyone's work there. To see such work is amazing!
The archaeological dig site in progress, located in the hills of Tuscania, represents an optimum occasion for both meeting and collaboration between the students of Lorenzo de' Medici and those at the University of Florence.
These marbles, the works of the dreamers and idealists of old, live on, leading and pointing to good. They are the works of visionaries and dreamers, but they are realizations of soul, the representations of the ideal. They are grand, beautiful, and true, and they speak with a voice that echoes through the ages. Governments have changed; empires have fallen; nations have passed away; but these mute marbles remain-the oracles of time, the perfection of art.
My experience at LdM will never leave me and was one of the best times of my life.
At LdM I was able to grow as a student, and I gained confidence in my work.
The project of cinematography created through Lorenzo de' Medici Tuscania and Rome, allows the students of LdM to work along side Italian filmmakers to develop their professional 'know how', and to participate actively in the production of films.
I feel like I truly experienced Italian culture here. I learned Italian in class, but also so much by speaking with locals. They were extremely warm and welcoming - and one family even had a going away party for us! This is a magical place.
