This master's program prepares students for work, further studies or research in any of the following subjects: English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish, Comparative Literature and Linguistics.
The program aims to stimulate an independent and critical approach to the study of language and literature, and to provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to contribute to developments in this field as teachers or researchers or other professional capacities. Students will develop their capacity for informed analysis of the history, development and characteristics of European languages and literature.
With a focus on major epochs and languages, the program will develop broad, interdisciplinary competence in linguistic, literary and anthropological theories and methods, and explore language processes and literary texts in their own cultural context. The materials studied range from everyday conversations to novels, plays, poems, and films.
* Degree: Master of Arts (Two Years) with a major in Language and Culture
* Majors: General Linguistics, Comparative Literature, English, French, German, Spanish or Swedish.
Bachelors
Approx. USD 14,000 (95,000 SEK) per academic year. Citizens from within the EU/EEA and Switzerland do not have to pay tuition fees.
For students at a master programme the fee normally covers a workload of 30 credits per semester. For additional courses beyond 30 credits there will be an additional fee. The fee also includes studies and study related issues such as study administration, study/ career counseling, student health care, library access, computer labs, assistance in finding accommodation etc.
Students who have not completed their studies within the normal period of study have the right to complete their studies in the course the following academic years without paying tuition fees. Students who complete their studies in less than the normal number of semesters must pay tuition fees for the full number of semesters.
