Liden & Denz is the only Russian member of the International Association of Language Centres IALC which inspects and accredits quality language schools worldwide. Our St. Petersburg centre has also been successfully inspected by EAQUALS, the leading pan-European accrediting body for language schools. Both schools are authorized preparation centres for the state exam TRKI (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language taken in the St. Petersburg or Moscow State Universities).

Today, Liden & Denz in St. Petersburg and Moscow is one of the biggest private Russian language course providers. Our centres are proud to have taught Russian to students from practically all over the world - in 2009, we have had students of more than 45 nationalities.

This year Liden & Denz opened a new centre. The new centre has a fantastic location off Nevsky Prospekt between the Russian Museum, the Mikahilovsky Zamok (built by Pavel I, son of Catherine the Great), the circus and near two very nice parks. The area offers some of the finest examples of St. Petersburg architecture and is close to the Fontanka and Neva rivers. The closest metro station (Nevsky Prospekt/Gostiny Dvor) is a five minute walk away. The school is located on the second floor of a historic 19th century building and features 13 spacious, bright and well equipped classrooms (wall-mounted TV/DVD sets), which are all suitable for group or mini-group classes. Free WiFi, a self-access centre and a small refectory are at the disposal of our students. The school further operates a booking desk for excursions, theatre tickets and onward travel.

Our old centre on Transportny pereulok will continue to operate as Ligovsky branch, but will mostly serve as overflow (one-to-one courses only) for the busy summer period. Foreign language courses for the local population will be offered in both premises.

Our school in Moscow (opened in January, 2004) is located in the central part of the city, a short walk from the Belorusskaya Railway Station, a terminus for trains from Berlin and Warsaw. Our premises are on the ground floor in a building that belongs to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Our school features 10 classrooms, a library and is equipped with the latest technology (several workstations with wireless Internet for our students, DVD sets in each classroom). We offer hot and cold drinks. Moderately priced places for lunch can be found around the corner from the school. In 2009 we extended our capacity in Moscow with three one-to-one classrooms near metro Novoslobodskaya (very centrally located).

We mainly specialize in short-term courses, group and individual. The minimum duration of a group course is two weeks and of an individual - one week. However, course length is not restricted and students can enroll for even a year-length course. We also offer Academic Year Courses that have fixed duration (24, 36 or 48 weeks) and reduced prices.. These courses will be organized in 2 degrees of intensity - 20 and 25 lessons per week in groups with maximum 10 participants.

Liden & Denz is an official preparation and testing centre for the TRKI examination (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language).

Liden & Denz is one of the first organizations to offer meaningful study and work programs in Russia. Our aim is to give students a unique insight into the Russian daily life of our times. Although the assignments we offer are all supervised by Liden & Denz, the experience inside our host organizations will be very authentic. Work experience students need a sufficient level of Russian in order to qualify for one of the places on offer. The entry level (language competence on arrival) should be at least A2. We further require a minimum of four weeks in a standard group course (or three weeks one-to-one) in one of our centres prior to the start of the work assignment.

All bookings for St. Petersburg and Moscow are sent to our St. Petersburg office, which allows easy combination of both destinations. Course dates and prices are identical for both schools.
