Exploring SEO in Moscow
Submitted by Maja - - | October 26, 2016
As a Web marketing/SEO Assistant, I was introduced to the core components of On-Page SEO by working on L&D Blog and installing keywords, meta descriptions, meta tags, and title tags. For anyone who is beginning to learn about SEO components, this is a great way to build up from the basics. In addition, this internship is an opportunity to learn more about interpreting analytics on different social media channels and create a strategy for further actions. I was working with great mentors who answered all of my questions and at the same time gave me an opportunity and freedom to share my own ideas. I was given feedback, and a chance to learn from my mistakes. Working in L&D Moscow office helped me learn about SEO and Web marketing as well as practice my Russian language skills. I liked that all of my questions were welcomed and that I was given tasks on regular basis.
This internship is a great way to combine learning Russian with learning Web marketing and SEO.
My experiences as "Social Media Assistant" in Saint Petersburg
Submitted by Daniela Danzinger - University of Applied Sciences Eisenstadt | October 26, 2016
Привет everyone. My name is Daniela, I’m 22 years old and I am from Vienna/Austria. Here I want to share my personal experiences with you about my internship as "Social Media Content Assistant" at Liden & Denz in Saint Petersburg.
I am studying “International Business Relations”, specializing in Marketing and in the course of our studies, we have the opportunity to do an internship abroad in the 5th semester and I’ve chosen Russia. On the first working day, I got introduced to all colleagues in the company. They are all very nice and you can always ask them if any questions emerge.
Our main duty every day was to write a blog about an insider tip regarding Saint Petersburg or Russia in general. Perhaps an article about some nice facts about the Russian language, culture or the Russian superstitions. In every blog we had to integrate an image that we maybe took by our own; it just shouldn't be copyright one.
We had a schedule about our tasks which intern has to do what on which day. For example, every Thursday I had to write a blog in German or every Tuesday I had my "Social Media Marketing" day. On that day I didn't had to write a blog. My function was to keep the social media sites, such as facebook, instagram and YouTube up to date. That was a pleasant contrast to the remaining days where we wrote an article in English or German.
What I liked best, was that we could work alone in an own, modern classroom. Nobody was watching us all the time and we could choose any topic we thought it would be interesting to write about - that was great! We could implement our own experiences in the articles and when we were done, we could go home.
On the whole I can say that I'm really happy to spend my internship here in the beautiful so-called "Venice of the North" for 3 months. I still have 1 month left and I'm sure that I will keep this time in my mind positively. Therefore, I strongly recommend an internship at Liden & Denz if you have the opportunity to do it.
Furthermore, the coffee in the lobby downstairs was a great plus in the ground floor.

Before I came to Saint Petersburg, I was really looking forward to my internship at Liden & Denz. To be honest, I also was very excited because I didn't know what exactly expects me there. But already after a few days, I was really happy! Saint Petersburg is such a nice and beautiful city and Liden & Denz Language Center is simply a great workplace! Writing blogs and doing Social Media Marketing was like a dream job to me, I really enjoyed it and it was a great pleasure for me to do this as an intern. I just loved the fact, that we could write our blogs about awesome places, sights, restaurants or bars in Saint Petersburg we have visited during our stay. In addition, uploading photos to each blog was also our duty and due to my passion for taking photos, I had a lot of fun while working!
Furthermore, improving my Russian language skills played also a very important role of my stay. Liden & Denz offered me a free language course and I very appreciated that! So I had the chance to learn Russian with professional teachers and gain work experience at the same time - this is simply priceless! I would really recommend such an internship to everyone, I'm sure this time has enriched my life with valuable experiences.
My stay and internship at Liden & Denz Intercultural Institute in Moscow

I had the possibility to attend Russian courses at Liden & Denz during the last two months, connected to an internship at school. This was a extraordinary deal for me, because I did not have to pay for the morning Russian lessons.
My normal workday started with 4hours class courses with 4-8 other international students and then i went forward to the internship work. My general tasks were to create online content for the homepage, means I wrote about 30-40 articles about economics, politics, daily life in Russia and Moscow and also some for students specialized reviews of bars, clubs, museums and sightseeing places in the capitol of Russia. 20% inhibited online marketing and social media tasks like correcting SEOs, article titles and activities on the most important social media platforms.
The school was in general very well organized, as I expected from a Swiss school. The teachers were really good, educated, and nice characters at all.
Liden & Denz offered at least 2 excursions during the week to museums, historical places and must-sees in Moscow. I really appreciated this. They gave us a special insight in the Russian history and also the daily life in Moscow.
During the two months I lived in a school accommodation, a shared flat, with 3 other students, which was a very good experience. The flat was modernly furniture and had a superior infrastructure. It was located only 20min by metro from the school building.
Bottom line: I spent a wonderful time in Moscow, I improved my Russian speaking and writing skills and met a lot of new interesting people from around the world! It won’t be the last time I went to Moscow, of course again in a program of Liden & Denz.

I had the possibility to make an internship at the language centre Liden & Denz in Moscow in the spheres web content creating, online marketing and social media management. The deal I received was very useful for me. In exchange to the internship work, I did not have to pay for Russian class lessons (20h per week). So I attended 20h lessons and worked in the afternoon again 20h per week.
In general I wrote articles about Russian history, economics, politics, lifestyle and a view sightseeing and nightlife reviews. In terms of online marketing and social media management, I had to improve SEOs, article titles, review placements and activities on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube and so further on. It helped me to improve my writing skills in German and English and opened me new insights in the Russian culture and the daily life in Moscow.
The lessons were also very helpful to improve my Russian speaking and writing skills. The teachers are very well educated and especially prepared for foreign language speakers. As I expected from a Swiss organization, all lessons, the administrative activities and the excursions were efficient structured and organized.
I got to know a lot of new international people, so the social life was in the bottom line also very good.
I spent a very good time in Moscow and I will get back as soon as possible, to get further with the Russian language and see all the nice employees from Liden & Denz again!
