    The Study Abroad Programme allows students from universities around the world to study in another country for either one semester or for the full academic year.

    Study Abroad in Leiden provides international undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to study in Leiden on a semester or academic year basis. Study Abroad in Leiden lets students experience life abroad, new cultures and different ways of life while gaining an academic education at an excellent university. This programme offers students a unique combination of international living and learning.

  • Highlights

    Undergraduate and graduate courses are offered in many disciplines at the Faculties of Arts, Archaeology, Law, Philosophy, and Social and Behavioural Sciences. Courses in English at advanced levels are available at the School of Medicine and at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

    Students can also broaden their horizons even more by combining their time in Leiden with a period in yet another country, for instance South Africa. This is to name but a few of the diverse opportunities open to all the students who choose to study in Leiden.

      The Study Options of the Study Abroad in Leiden programme are suitable for advanced undergraduates and graduates who have had at least two years of academic education. To enroll in the programme, student must have a GPA of 3.2 or the equivalent and be proficient in English (TOEFL 570/230 or IELTS 6.5).
