Throughout our broad creative & digital technology courses, your experience will be enriched by industry guest lectures, workshops, placements and partnership opportunities, together with practical and product-based projects offer industry insights.
Broadcast, Multimedia, Games & Animation students will have access to extensive Mac and PC labs and professional video, audio and photographic equipment, including panoramic 'blue screen' studios. Using the latest technology you will explore professional delivery and production techniques for multimedia, games and animation, video, radio, motion capture and photography. Teaching is carried out by practicing creative technologists, whose visual research and practical experimentation ensure you remain at the forefront of technological developments in the constantly evolving visual and interactive media arena.
Computing & Information Technology students will be challenged and supported to develop a diverse set of computing skills and capabilities in subjects including green computing, ethical hacking, computer security, database systems and web development. Engagement in research and commercial activity ensures teaching is aligned with workplace developments, technology tools and techniques. Industry-related projects and activities will foster your professionalism, problem solving and enterprise skills.
Computing students will have access to labs allowing you to install and configure systems, use an extensive range of software applications, build network switches and learn how to configure routers and mobile networks.
Our vibrant and stimulating suite of Music, Sound & Performance courses and qualifications, prepare you for a wide variety of careers in the music and sound recording production sector. Industry connections support will enrich your student experience, whilst optional sandwich years on undergraduate courses offer placement opportunities between your first and second year of study. The postgraduate programmes encourage collaborative 'real world' projects, evidencing your skills through employment or relevant industry work.
Throughout your studies, Music students will have access to extensive facilities including impressive sound recording studios, computer music workstation labs together with live rehearsal spaces and post-production areas for enhancing sound effects and soundtracks.

Discounts for Tuition Fees You are guaranteed a 10% fee discount when you pay one year's tuition fees in full by 31 August 2010, (31 December 2010 for those commencing their studies in January 2011). The early payment discount is available for those pay the overseas rate of fee and cannot be claimed in conjunction with the alumni discount. A 10% discount is also available to Leeds Met graduates and graduates of partner colleges within the Regional University Network (RUN) who choose to complete further study at Leeds Met.
