Since 2004, LEAD Adventures Ecuador & Galapagos, has created meaningful volunteering and responsible travel experiences for over 3000 satisfied customers around the world. We run volunteer and adventure type trips for clients coming from US, UK, Canada and Australia mainly.
We are a dynamic and young minded company, always willing to try new things and improve our marketing efforts both online and offline. We treat our interns the same as our full time staff and expect nothing but the best from them. Dress code is casual (jeans every day are ok).

The successful candidate will work in beautiful Ecuador along Lead Adventures team in our offices in Quito.
- The candidate will be in charge of executing our social media strategy.
- The candidate will perform daily activities to maintain our social media presence and create relevant content to our target market.
The candidate will get the chance to get exposed to the travel and tourism industry in Ecuador and Galapagos Islands and will learn extensively about Ecuador 4 worlds: Andes, Coast, Amazon and Galapagos.
Our team is composed by young people and it is a laid back work atmosphere for all.
* Must be 20 years or older
* Experience in study or travel abroad is desirable
* Candidate must have strong communication and writing skills
* Possess active interest in blogging or social media
* Proficiency with the Internet and blogging tools desirable
* Familiarity with Twitter, Facebook, and other social media desirable
* Pay 150 USD housing deposit (refundable at the end of the placement)

- Airport transfer upon your arrival in Quito
- Accommodation during your stay (shared apartment)
- We will give a 150 USD monthly stipend upon submitting reports of your work
- 2 weeks of Medical and emergency travel insurance at no cost. Additional weeks can be purchased with us at substantial discount compared to regular providers
- Subsidized Spanish lessons at cost available
- Subsidized Galapagos Experience Program at cost
- Sponsored visits to our animal rescue centers in the Amazon and Andes (3 days per center) at no cost to the participant.
- Support from our staff 24/7
It is an unpaid internship. However for strong candidates we could negotiate a housing subsidy and a monthly stipend (average 150 USD) per month.
