Le Canard au Parapluie Rouge (the duck with a red umbrella!) is a lovely period country home situated on three and half acres of grounds and gardens.

For more than 100 years, Le Canard has provided a warm and inviting shelter for many a traveler. In the early days it was a small hotel- restaurant named L’hotel de la Gare accommodating overnight passengers from the adjacent rail line station house.

Today the property has been completely updated with all modern conveniences and offers several en-suite bedrooms. The style of Le Canard is a charming mix of eclectic furnishings from around the world, creating a cozy welcoming ambiance.

Our bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, each with an en-suite bath or shower and offer views of the garden. The warm and inviting decor is unique to each bedroom and there are lots of pillows and snuggle up bedding! Clock radios, hairdryers & bottled water are just some of the amenities we offer.

Le Canard offers a lovely garden setting with an expansive lawn perfect for many activities- such as relaxing with a good book, snoozing in the hammock, scenic country walks, chess, scrabble, croquet, afternoon tea or aperitifs- sound tempting? All and more are available at Le Canard.

Location

By road: The A20 provides the easiest access to Le Canard. Exit 19 and follow the signs for Celon.

You cross over railroad tracks and arrive at a main junction, turn right for Celon and then again the first right as you enter the village. Turn right again and we are towards the end of the lane on your left.

From the A20 exit you will notice our "Ducks" helping guide you to our door where a warm welcome awaits!
