  • Description

The teaching position goes that you in general will be working with children (or guides and scientists on Galapagos) who need to improve their English. This requires from you not only teaching, but also social skills, being able to improve their level. Depending on the position you will have a local contact person or guide at the place you are teaching (at most times a senior teacher). This person will guide you and together you will set up a program or plan. This depends very much on the place you will be teaching at, some schools are poor and do not have much didactical material, and if you teach tourism guides or scientists you should maybe adapt your didactical material to their working field. LH staff member will be available for comments and help during your stay.

You will be picked up from the airport by our local staff member, depending on your program (which may include lodging and Spanish course) you will be brought to your lodging address during your stay. The next day you will receive an introduction to the city and the country, and a short description of your position.
