The Primary Qualifications for successful LanguageCorps Applicants include:
* Excellent native or native-level English speaking skills
* A valid and current Passport issued in your name. U.S. citizenship is not a strict requirement
* A level of maturity and flexibility to be successful living and teaching abroad.
* A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required for some programs.

Languages Used as a Medium of Teaching
Cost in US$:

Program Fees Include:
- The LanguageCorps program fee includes all of the above.
- The following are not included:
* Round-trip airfare to host country
* Personal expenses (meals, entertainment, local transport except as specified above, living expenses, and personal shopping)
* "Upfront" costs following the training period, such as apartment security deposits and first month's rent
* Visa costs and fees
Typical wages for LanguageCorps teachers range from USD 800-USD 1,200/month. Benefits vary greatly from school to school. (Salaries are always paid in baht and are usually paid at the end of the month.) Sometimes, if a Teacher stays for one year, the school will pay for the airfare to another destination or will give a bonus. As you would expect, the larger cities have higher living costs, but pay rates are also higher.
