Xi'an is situated in the heart of China, 1200 km Southwest of Beijing, is one of the most famous cities on the world. The city enjoys equal fame with Athens, Cairo, and Rome as one of the four major ancient capitals of civilization. Xi'an is ancient and full of history: it was the starting point of the legendary Silk Road, it boasts the Terracotta warriors and a huge number of other heritage sites: here new and old make an interesting mix.

Xi'an is different. It's a big city but still not crowded or busy as Shanghai or Beijing. You'll be amazed wandering around its side streets. There are most universities in China, lots of young people coming from all over China. This city is also famous for its cuisine. Last but not least it's considerably cheaper than the other big cities.

Our school lies south of the historical city walls only 10 minutes from downtown, housed in a modern two-story building with 16 classrooms and many excellent facilities.

Every week there are planned excursions to different tourist attractions and cultural places of interest around the area. For each excursion there is a tour guide who gives a thorough explanation of the site and a presentation to the students. Teachers give students an introduction to the site they will be visiting before the trip.
