You will work in the classroom as part of a team, helping children learn with the use of computers, using educational game programs to learn the alphabet, reading, simple math etc.
Program development would be appreciated, but not essential. You will visit rural schools each day, we transport net book computers and work with the children in a classroom setting.
Young students respond so well to working with the computers, they are totally engaged and you will be able to help them make rapid progress with their learning. Living in the city of Granada and working with a large multi cultural volunteer group - there is subsidised housing, and a good work environment. An opportunity to immerse yourself in another culture, visit the land of lakes and volcanoes, while doing something useful that benefits the children in this impoverished country. Lots of long weekends for travel opportunity, and you can contribute as much as you wish to the program if you want to.
Intermediate or above Spanish speaking, patience, good working knowledge of computers, interest in computers as a learning tool for young children, self motivated, good team worker.
