Kuranui College is a medium size coeducation secondary school situated in the beautiful province of Wairarapa only one hour by road or rail from New Zealand's capital city, Wellington.

At Kuranui College international students may choose a programme of academic study from a wide range of subjects at levels 1, 2 or 3 of New Zealand's National Certificate of Education (NCEA) qualification or they may choose the "English Plus Programme."

The "English Plus" programme is focussed on developing the students' skills of both spoken and written English in a safe, caring semi rural environment over six or twelve months. In addition to English enrichment the programme incorporates an exciting range of New Zealand experiences.

Programmes of study can be arranged for periods of three, six or twelve months

Highlights

Kuranui College is situated very close to forested mountain parks, pristine rivers and stunning coastlines. Students will experience first hand the very best of New Zealand's natural unspoiled environment as they hike in the mountains, raft down the rivers and learn to surf and dive in the beautiful Pacific Ocean. English Plus students will also travel to iconic New Zealand cultural and geographical destinations and write about, film and record their experiences for the college's International Student Magazine and web site blog.
