Teaching in South Korea (2009)

I wanted to come to Korea to see a new culture first hand and open up my reality as a teacher. Thus far, teaching has been a great experience and a valuable asset I can add to my future career. In this whole transition from Canada to Korea, I couldn't have asked for a better recruiter than Anna. I had consistent contact with her from the day I signed my contract to nearly the day I arrived in Korea. She was helpful in answering any questions I had about the contract I signed, as well as for the whole process of receiving a Visa. Anna's help and support has even extended into my stay in Korea. I'm very comforted to know that if I have any questions about Korea or Seoul she is always happy to advise and help.

Teaching in South Korea (2009)

I have been in Korea for three months now, and am enjoying the wonderful hospitality, history, delicious food and culture! As a certified teacher, I feel lucky to be working in a modern, forward-thinking school, which provides me with excellent support, materials, and benefits. I credit all of my experiences and adventures thus far to my recruiter, Anna Jeon. Almost immediately after I registered with Korea Global Connections, Anna called to inform me of the process, work and fun of finding a job in Korea. She arranged for my interviews, guided me through the tricky Visa process, and even made arrangements for me to be picked up safely upon my arrival in Korea. Before coming to Korea, Anna was always available (even with the time difference!) whenever I had questions, concerns or worries. She was determined to find me the perfect job, even helping me negotiate my contract when I accepted one. My appreciation for Anna has only increased since my arrival in Korea. Even after three months, she still frequently contacts me to make sure that I am happy with my job, accommodations, and new cultural surroundings. I would encourage anyone interested in teaching in Korea to contact Anna and have the experience of a lifetime!

I came to Daegu nearly 3 months ago and so far it has been amazing! I really like my school and work colleagues and the city is a great base for travelling throughout Korea. Anna was a brilliant recruiter and has kept in contact with me since we arrived to make sure everything is going ok. I am so pleased that I decided to come.

Teaching in South Korea (2009)

MY name is Bill and I am 25 from Ontario Canada. I just graduated from Trent University and was eager to do something interesting and exciting with my academic achievment. What could be better than being paid to fly across the world to be an English language teacher. I am now half a world away from home, living in a great modern (if not futuristic) apartment, and experiencing things I could have never seen or understood back home. None of this could have been possible without the help of Anna Jeon and Korean Global Connections. They have been very supportive and worked diligently to make sure I was comfortable and excited with my decision. Anna Jeon is a great recruitment agent who has kept close contact and keen interest to help me to get to where I am now in Daegu, South Korea! My parents are proud, my friends envious, and the children seem to be in a constant state of amazement and interest with us foreign teachers. If you are qualified and are interested in doing something wild and exciting with your life, then traveling abroad to teach is not an opportunity that should be passed up.

Teaching in South Korea (2009)

Ive just been here in Seoul a short while but so far I've had a great time! I've been given a great place to stay, and my fellow co - workers, both Korean and expat, are all very friendly and helpful! I initially spoke to a number of recruiters, and I'm very happy that I chose to deal with 'KGC' and especially Anna Jeon. From the beginning to the end of the process she was extremely helpful, and was always there to provide me with answers to all my questions. I was thoroughly impressed with her attention to detail, and would highly recommend 'KGC' to anyone considering teaching English in Korea.

Teaching in South Korea (2009)

I have been in Osan, Korea for 5 weeks, and so far I have had an amazing experience. Everybody has been really friendly and I have met so many people in such a short space of time. My co-teachers both foreign and Korean have been very helpful and they have helped me a lot to settle in and their advice has been very welcoming. Osan is quite a small city by Korean standards but it has everything that a city should have such as plenty of shops, great transport links and a vibrant nightlife. Plus it is less than an hour from Suwon and Seoul. There is also quite a close knit foreign community here which has made alll the difference. I certainly made the right choice in coming to Korea as it seems there is never a dull moment and there is so much to see. Korean people are extremely warm and friendly and they will go out of their way to help you even if they can't quite understand English. Anna Jeon was an extremely helpful recruiter who guided me through the whole process of applying for the job, getting a VISA and booking my flights. She also made sure that she was at the airport on arrival and that my boss was there when I arrived in Osan to meet me. If you are considering teaching here I would absolutely recommend Anna Jeon to be your recruiter.

Teaching in South Korea (2008)

I travelled in Asia in 2006 and had always wanted to return. Teaching seemed like a great opportunity to work as well as travel and so I got in contact with Anna at KGC after looking at some job offers on the internet. Anna was a great help from day one, always being there to answer my questions and point me in the right direction. She also met me at the airport which was extremely useful and has been here to help ever since I arrived. I would thoroughly recommend KGC to anyone looking to contact a decent agent in Korea as I have been very content with their service. For two months now I have been working at an elementary Hagwon south of Seoul and am loving every minute

I decided to come to Korea because I was looking for an adventure after school, and wanted to see Asia. Korea seemed like a great home base and a very safe, modern place to start teaching. I am teaching at a private institute in Junggye-dong, in the Northeast of Seoul. I have a maximum of 12 students in each class, and live in an apartment only 5 minutes away from the school, which is super-convenient. Coming to Korea was a lot easier because of Korea Global Connections-- Anna Jeon arranged an interview for me, mailed me my contract, answered questions about my apartment, pretty much everything for me. I really consider myself lucky, having found a good school that doesn't take advantage of me, which can happen to some teachers who come to Korea, but using a recruiter helped me find a legitimate school.

My name is Emily Forsyth. I have been living and teaching in Korea on and off for the past few years and I have to say I absolutely love it! I have never experienced such a warm and welcoming culture in any other country I have known. Miss Anna, a personal friend of mine, has now successfully placed me in two separate jobs, each of which has proven to be a wonderful and enlightening experience. I worked my first contract in downtown Seoul, which was exciting and full of life, whereas the second time around I chose to come live in a smaller, coastal city, near Busan, and the latter has been an even more enjoyable experience. Each place I have travelled to in Korea has given me a completely different perspective, as the country is so densely populated, but so small, by my Canadian standards. Anna is a knowledgeable, caring and business savvy recruiter. I would recommend any of my nearest and dearest to be placed in an English job through her.
